If we compare both the Institutes, SIT pune is overall a better option for student for any course. The above statement can easily be justified by seeing the rankings and placement packages of the students. The placement pacakges at SIT are very high as compared to MIT. It is also to be kept in mind that SIT pune is more expensive than MIT. So the students should make the final choice overseeing all the factors.

The number of seats available for MSc. is not mentioned by the Institute. The number of students who will be able to do the course will totally depend on the number of seats available for the students. BTech has 60 seats available while BTech+ Mtech has 30 seats available. No data is available for other courses. 

According to the latest information available the cutoff for BTech at MIT school of bioengineering sciences and research was around 85 percent approximately. The cutoff totally depends on the number of seats available for the students to take admission. More number of seats will result in less cutoff and students with minimum score can also get admission but if the number of seats are less, the cutoff will be high and a favorable score in the entrance exams will be required in order to take admission.
