MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research has an active placement cell that aims to bridge the gap between the students and the recruiters. The placement cell conducts training sessions that assists in developing the personalities of the students, such as, orientation sessions, communication skills, human dynamics, etc. Internships are also a mandate at MIT BIO. In order to apply for M.Tech at MIT BIO, the candidates must have a valid JEE Mains score, GATE score, or equivalent. Additionally, the student must have a Bachelor's Degree in B.E./ BTech in Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering/ Ceramic Technology / Mechanical / Metallurgy/ Civil Engineering/Mining Engineering/ Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology or other allied Branches are required with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Candidates who have complete a two-years master's or a MPhil degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent are eligible to apply for MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences PhD programme. Applicants with MTech/ BTech/ ME/ MS qualification in relevant disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks and with 60% aggregate in Class 10, Class 12 and BTech/ BE is also considered eligible.
