The exam conducting authority GMEC - Global Media Education Council, started the Global Media Common Entrance Test registrations for the 2024 session in December 2023. Candidates who were interested in applying for the GMCET exam can visit the official website to register online and apply for the GMCET exam till May 29, 2024. The application fee for GMCET is INR 1000. In order to successfully fill out the application form, candidates must pay the GMCET  application fee in online mode via net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI, etc. For the details regarding the application fee payment candidates must visit the official website of GMCET.

As per the GMCET eligibility criteria, candidates must meet some basic requirements to apply for the exam. The minimum education qualification required to apply for the exam is of Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent Education with a minimum aggregate of 50% for the General Category & 45% for SC/ST/OBC or the aspirants must be appearing for the same in 2024.

No, GMCET is not a center-based exam. It is an online exam, which candidates can give from the comfort of their homes. The exam can be given from a laptop/desktop. The details and instructions related to the exam will be mentioned on the GMCET admit card. However, detailed instructions will be sent to candidates' registered email IDs and mobile numbers 15 minutes before the exam so that they can prepare for the exam.

The GMCET or Global Media Common Entrance Test is an all-South Asia Mass Communication entrance exam that is conducted for the admisison of qualified candidates into to various participating universities across India which offer Journalism and Mass Communication courses. From 2021 onwards, the exam will be conducted by the Global Media Education Council (GMEC).

Some of the courses offered by GMCET are - BA-JMC (Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication), BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication), BMS (Bachelor of Media Studies), BMC (Bachelor of Mass Communication), BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media), BSc (Animation & Graphics), BSc (Media Technologies), BSc (Film & Television), BSc (VFX Filmmaking), BA (Journalism Hons) and BSc Visual Communication.

No, it doesn't. You can take this degree from any of the colleges which are good in this. In fact, some private training institutes have got a very good reputation in animation and multimedia.

Pattern takes into count your best of 4 scores (including maths), then there is this MCQ test on English and maths (class 8-12)
Now, what they do is that they add your best of 4 score to the score you obtain in the test!
And to finish it off, the cut off generally varies around 65-70 (all together) /100!
