2. Here, a1= nn+1

Substituting n=1,2,3,4,5 we get,

a1=11+1=12

a2=22+1=23

a3=33+1=34

a4=44+1=45

a5=55+1=56 .

Hence the first five terns are 12, 23, 34, 45 and 56 .

1. Since the ordered pairs are equal, the corresponding elements are equal.

x 3 + 1 = 5 3 . and  y23=13

x 3 = 5 3 1 y = 1 3 + 2 3

x 3 = 5 3 3 y = 1 + 2 3

x 3 = 2 3 y = 3 3

x = 2 y = 1.
