NIU offers M.Tech programme with a course-duration of two years. However, working professionals also have an alternative to choose weekend M.Tech programme. In such a case, the classes are conducted on every Saturday and Sunday and the course duration increases by one year.

For seeking admission, candidates need to pass Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate. Eligible candidates are further shortlisted and granted seats to the specialisations of their preference based on NSAT score. JEE Main-qualified candidates are also preferred for admission.

Yes, NIU acknowledges merit of its students by offering generous scholarships in the form of fee waivers. These scholarships are only applicable to the tuition fees for first year. NIU has a tie-up with Punjab National Bank (PNB) for providing educational loans to its economically weaker students. For availing scholarships, candidates need to fill NSAT application form by paying an application fee of Rs 500+ GST, through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Yes, any student can withdraw from the company interview process after the pre-placement talk. However, it must be noted that once the selection procedure has started, students cannot withdraw at any stage, unless they have a final offer from another company during the registration and interview process. Students are henceforth advised to apply for a particular position after careful consideration of all the aspects.
