PES College of Engineering has been ranked many times by NIRF, THE WEEK, Outlook, etc. It is ranked 101 for the B.Tech program by NIRF in 2023. The college was also ranked 4th in Bangalore and 8th in Karnataka among all Engineering Universities. It was ranked 206th position in India by EduRank in 2023.

PES College of Engineering is among the colleges which have moderate fee structure for its B.Tech program. The total tuition fee for a four-year BTech course at the college ranges between INR 84.3 K to INR 7.4 Lakhs depending on the specialisation of BTech in which the student is interested. Getting admission into PES College of Engineering for B.Tech can be considered a bit difficult.  To be eligible for the course, the candidates needs to have a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible candidates will also have to appear for the KCET exam and score valid marks to secure admission to the program.

To get B.Tech programme in PES college of Engineering, you must fulfill the following two conditions:

  1. You must have scored a minimum 60% in your PCM subject in 12th final exam from a recognised board.
  2. You must give KCET/PESSAT test and score a good marks to be eligible to get B.Tech in PES College of Engineering.

P.E.S. College of Engineering has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.E. / B.TechCandidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
OR
Candidate must have completed B.Sc. from UGC/ Association of Indian Universities recognised University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.
M.E./M.TechSponsored candidate must have minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

Final year students can also apply on provisional basis.
Candidates must have valid GATE score.
MBA/PGDMCandidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
Final year students can also apply on provisional basis.
MCACandidate must have passed any recognised BCA / Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university.
OR
Candidate must have passed B.Sc. / B.Com / B.A. with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned University) and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university.
