No, there are many differences in these two Institutes/universities.
As you will find good faculty, good infrastructure, and as well as placements in the PES university because it is private. So, as this is private university you will get most of the time best in everything.
And in PES University you will find many UG and PG courses and this is the best part.
Now talking about fees structure in PES university, having private university its fees among all the courses are pretty much higher side.

Like if we compare the fees they are taking for your Masters degree like MBA the CMS Bangalore tuition fees is 11.5 Lacs and in PES university it is about 15 Lacs but in CMS Bangalore the placements record is impressive with the highest package offered being Rs30 Lpa and average package of 12.25LPA so if you choose to do MBA at CMS Bangalore over PES university it would be better.

Both colleges are good, they provide quality education, they both have good campuses with nice placements. If we compare these colleges, the PES university is slightly more expensive than CMS Bangalore. But it provides more courses than the CMS Bangalore. If in CMS Bangalore, one course is expensive then in PES University one course is not that much expensive. Both are good, you must choose them according to your need.

PES is without a doubt the best option because it has established a solid reputation as one of Bangalore's best colleges. Placements and exposure to extracurricular activities are occasionally encouraged, even though they are solely student-initiated, because the university now needs recognition.
PES University outperforms Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore in computer Science engineering due to placements.
