Due to the opening of large pharmaceutical companies, the future in the field of pharmacy is bright. Numerous jobs are available for pharmacists in government as well as private organizations. After completing your studies, you can easily find jobs in pharmaceutical industries, government departments, colleges and universities, hospitals, investigation and research institute etc.
Pharmacists can practice in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and regulatory agencies. Sales & Marketing job sector also hire a huge number of pharmacy graduates.
One can also work in retail stores of medicines. After registering with the state Pharmacy Council, you can open chemist/drug shop and sell medicines as per doctors prescription.
On the other hand, the biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for Biotechnology graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does.

B.Pharmacy freshers are employed in the marketing of pharmaceutical products and medical devices as Medical Representatives (MR). Career growth in marketing depends on the networking ability, knowledge and communication skills. Initially, marketing requires more physical work due to travel, but as you progress workload may reduce with promotion, also depending on company culture. You can be promoted to assistant manager, area manager, regional manager etc posts.
Salary In Pharmaceutical Marketing: B. Pharm graduates on basis of their skills can get marketing Job in small company or MNC. Starting salary for freshers vary from about 18000 to 35000 Indian rupees per month and some performance based incentives.
In the government sector, one can apply for drug Inspector and other pharmacist government competitive examinations. B.pharm graduates are also eligible for SSC, UPSC, State PSC and bank jobs etc like other graduates.
