Hello, it is not compulsory to appear in NEET for admission in Bachelor of Pharmacy but all universities or institution provides admission either through NEET or conducts its own entrance examination. NEET exam is necessary for MBBS and BDS courses only.

You can take admission in B.Pharmacy without appearing in NEET but you need to qualify entrance examination of that university or college.

PCI approves institutions, prescribes course curricula, recommends standardized operational frameworks, provides guidance on professional practice of pharmacy, and adopts a system to maintain register of licensed pharmacists. Q:   How do the roles of a pharmacist and a doctor differ with regard to their accountabilities?
A:

Doctor checks illnesses and decides what treatment is needed but a pharmacist makes sure right medication is safely givenand also explains how to use it.

Doctors focus on overall health but pharmacists focus deeply on science of drugs.

Q:   Can Pharmacy students work as medical representatives or drug inspectors?
A:

Yes Pharmacy graduates can work as medical representatives. They are responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors and hospitals. Medical representatives are typically sought after by fresh graduates and require good communication skills and a good understanding of product. 

Pharmacy graduates may also apply to be drug inspectors through government examinations. Job requires ensuring quality of drugs and their compliance with regulations or guidelines. A Pharmacy degree from an institution recognised by PCI is usually required.

Q:   Can I do Pharmacy courses after BCom?
A:

Students must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% marks in PCM or PCB.

So if you've done B.Com and chose commerce subjects in 12th then you are not eligible to apply for D.Pharma.

Q:   Can I pursue Pharmacy course?
A:

To get admission to Pharmacy courses candidates should pass class 12th with PCM or PCB with 50% scores.

Commerce students are not eligible.
