The scholarships granted in the Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute for the BPharm students predominantly coincide with the Central Sector Scheme Scholarship for College and University Students as prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Although the institute does not have any specific scholarships reserved for the BPharm programme, financial aid is available based on performance in the Senior Secondary Examination. In addition, it provides for high-standing students from various disciplines and deserving students with respect to any merit-based scholarships that may be awarded to them.

Yes, a Pharm D course graduate can open a medical store, as long as they fulfill the required legal and regulatory obligations. In India, a pharmacy or medical store requires a pharmacy license from the state drug control authority.

Pharm D course graduates are suitable candidates to run such shops because of their education in medication management, drug therapy, and patient care.

However, they must still abide by the regulations in relation to selling medicines and other patient care services in that, keep records, documentation and abide by local pharmacy laws.

The PharmD and BSc programs do differ in terms focus and therefore cannot be deemed strictly "better than" one another; it depends more on your goals.

The Pharm D is a formal, professional doctoral degree program for individuals intending to become clinical pharmacists, provide patient care, or manage medication therapy for patients. It includes more extensive and specialized body of knowledge and training in pharmacy practice than a BSc.

The BSc is principally an undergraduate degree which can be obtained in many subjects, and not limited to pharmacy, biochemistry, or the other Sciences, which is likely more relevant to a BS

Certainly, graduates of Pharm D programs are generally not involved in the manufacturing of medicines. They are primarily involved with the clinical side of pharmacy, including medication therapy management, counselling patients, and ensuring medications are used safely.

They may work closely with, or collaborate with, pharmaceutical manufacturers to support the appropriate distribution and utilization of drugs. The actual making of medicines, which includes creating formulations and manufacturing, is usually done by pharmaceutical scientists or chemists who are trained specifically as pharmaceutical manufacturers.

No, the Pharm D course is not equal to the MD.

PharmD is a professional doctorate in Pharmacy that focuses on drug therapy management, medication counselling, and patient care, preparing graduates to work as clinical pharmacists. It does not grant the authority to diagnose or treat medical conditions.

MD, on the other hand, is a medical degree that trains individuals to become physicians, responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases.

While both are doctoral degrees in healthcare, their roles, training, and responsibilities are different.
