Yes absolutely! A BSc in Physiotherapy is the standard qualification to start a career in these areas. A BSc graduate is qualified to act as a first contact practitioner. There is a growing need for physiotherapists in both public and private health sectors.

No, the BSc Physiotherapy course cannot be pursued through distance education or online mode. This is because BSc Physiotherapy involves a significant amount of practical training, hands-on sessions, and clinical internships, which require a physical presence in laboratories, hospitals, or rehabilitation centres.

The practical nature of BSc Physiotherapy is essential for developing the skills and expertise needed to assess, diagnose, and treat patients effectively. As a result, BSc Physiotherapy is offered only in full-time, on-campus mode to ensure comprehensive learning and professional competency.

The primary difference between a BSc Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Physiotherapy lies in the duration, depth of study, and career opportunities.

A BSc in Physiotherapy is a 3-year UG degree that provides comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge, covering advanced subjects like biomechanics, neurology, and rehabilitation.

In contrast, a Diploma in Physiotherapy is a 2-3 year programme focusing on physiotherapy and practical skills, offering a quicker entry into the workforce.

However, career growth and opportunities for higher studies are typically more extensive for BSc graduates than Diploma holders.

No, most universities and colleges in India do not conduct entrance exams for BSc Physiotherapy admissions. Admission is generally based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, usually the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Some institutions may have a personal interview or counselling session as part of the selection process.

The Master's of Physiotherapy is designed for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and typically requires a minimum aggregate percentage for eligibility. For those interested in psychology or health administration it would be advisable to explore other institutions that specialize in such fields as PGIMER primarily focuses on medical and paramedical courses. For the most accurate information regarding specific programs and admission criteria it is recommende
