- For calculating CGPA - There is a set amount of credits allotted to each course, students receive grades based on how well they do in each subject. According to the defined scale, grade points are allocated to each grade.
- The grade points obtained in each course are multiplied by the credits allotted to it to determine the credit points. The total credit points gained throughout all courses add up to determine cumulative credit points. The cumulative credit points obtained are divided by the total credits attempted to arrive at the student's grade point average, or CGPA.
