The question is too generic. If you opt footwear designing, you may get career as a merchandiser in a footwear company, if you do costume designing, you will be merchandiser with textile units, clothing company, retail, etc. It's you who need to decide in which industry you want to go.

The option to opt for SCM would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations.

Cutoff is same for all the courses in PGDM.
Last year cutoff for CAT- 86 percentile , XAT - 78percentile and CMAT - 96 percentile.
After shortlisting based on cut off there is GD and PI process. As a result Merit list is generated considering various factors in a candidate profile.
The courses are offered based on SIMSR merit rank.

Supply chain management remains same as there is hardly any difference. However, when you specifically talk about retail supply chain management, it is all about connecting vendor to consumer and how as a 3 PL and 4 PL. You can add value and what special strategy you need to build as last mile delivery.

It depends on what kind of job you are doing. The average salary of supply chain manager say material manager, transportation manager, logistic manager, warehouse manager is around Rs.7 LPA with average 5 to 6 years of experience and a bank manager also earn that much as an average salary.

The salary depends on various factor such as budget of the company, your communication skills and the trait required by the employer. The job is competitive and there is high demand such as merchandiser, category manager and the industry is growing.

In materials management, there are some problematic papers. If you have any mathematics background in class 12th or graduation, you can opt for it. Otherwise, you might face some difficulty in getting admission.

You do not need to pursue any course unless you want to make career in academic field such as teacher. For that, you should pursue M Phil and PhD. Focus on a job, gain some experience and start attending various seminars and conclaves.
