Supply chain Management is the study relating to the entire operations of a Industry starting from getting the orders from the customers, planning and procuring the materials, production planning, dispatches and delivery to the Customer. All the above stated functions are connected together as a chain and hence the managing of the supply chain is known as Supply Chain Management. The coordination and management of the supply chain activities are known as Supply Chain Management.
Material Management is the study relating to the procurement, storage and dispatch of the materials and it is one part of the supply chain management.

Logistics Management is a small portion of Supply Chain Management that deals with management of goods in an efficient way. Although, if we talk about Supply Chain Management, it is a broader term which refers to the connection, right from the suppliers to the ultimate consumer. People are quite puzzled between these two concepts.
Logistics Management- The process of integrating the movement and maintenance of goods in and out the organization is Logistics.
Supply Chain Management- The coordination and management of the supply chain activities are known as Supply Chain Management.

To get admission into Retail management course you need to fulfill the criteria.
In order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need:
- Graduation in any field with at least 50% aggregate marks to be eligible to apply.
- Then, you need to clear the selection process of the B-school, starting with an entrance test accepted by the B-School. For e.g. CAT, MAT, SNAP, CMAT.
The selection process in B-schools is generally based on:
- Past academic record
- Scores in management entrance tests
- Performance in Group Discussion
- Performance in Personal Interview
- Work experience
