The SOFT CET 2026 exam will have the following THREE components:
- General Ability Test
- Studio Test
- Personal Interview + Portfolio Statement of Purpose
The weightage carried by each of the exam components is shown in the table below.

Candidates appearing in SOFT CET exam will have to appear in a Studio Test round, which will be conducted online via Google meet. The Google meet link (or Link 1) will be shared with the candidate one day prior to the groups.
The Studio Test will be held online from 11 am to 12.15 pm.
All instructions for the Studio Test will be shared with the candidate by moderators in the meet.

SOFT SET exam is conducted in three parts
- General Ability Test
- Studio Test
- Personal Interview + Portfolio + Statement of Purpose
The personal interview will be conducted online via Google meet. The interview link will be shared with the candidate prior to the interview.
The interview will be conducted between 1 and 4 pm. At the time of the interview, the candidate needs to keep their portfolio ready.

The SOFT CET exam is conducted by MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune. SOFT CET 2026 will be conducted on January 09 and 10, 2026. The detailed schedule will be released at the official admission portal.
The SOFT CET exam has the following components:
- General Ability Test
- Studio Test
- Personal Interview + Portfolio Statement of Purpose
The final merit list of SOFT CET 2026 will be prepared by giving weightage to each of these test components.

The SOFT CET exam will be conducted in THREE parts:

As you can see, the exam also includes a STUDIO Test.
All the three parts or sub-exams will be conducted on the same day. Note that the candidate has to appear in all the sub-exams.- If the candidate doesn't appear in of the sub-exams, he or she will not be included in the merit list.

MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune, will conduct the SOFT CET 2026 exam starting sometime in the 4th week of May 2026. The admit card will be released a few days before the exam. The candidate has to download the admit card using theiir candidate credentials.
On the day of the exam, bring your admit card and a valid photo ID proof.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des and Diploma design courses at MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune, need to take the SOFT CET entrance exam.
