NEET UG syllabus  is divided among four sections- Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. All 4 sections hold same weightage for the examination and all the sections have 45 questions. Important topics included in these sections have been listed below:

·       Physics- Laws of Motion, Current, Electricity, Thermodynamics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter, Semiconductor Electronics, etc.

·       Chemistry- Equilibrium, Chemical Bonding, p-block, Coordination Compounds, General Organic Chemistry, Aromatic Compounds, Mole Concepts, etc.

There is no separate entrance exam for admission into MBBS course of SRM Medical College. The only exam accepted for admission to the MBBS course of the college is NEET (UG). Based on the performance in NEET and the AIQ counselling merit-list, a candidate is given admission in SRM Medical college.

Indeed, in order to be considered for admission to SRM Medical College's MBBS programme, a candidate must pass the NEET (UG) exam. No other entrance exam is acceptable for college admission to the MBBS programme. The only way to fill the slots is through MCC's AIQ counselling. For this counselling, only students who meet the NEET requirements may sign up.

SRM Medical College got ranked at #20, for three consecutive years, by NIRF in the category of Medicine & Health Sciences. This makes the college, the third best ranked college in Chennai. The Outlook ranking of SRM Medical College in the same category was #6 in 2023. These rankings together back up the fact that SRM Medical College is a good college for MBBS.

No, state quota is not applicable for seat allotment at SRM Medical College. All the seats are filled through All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling by MCC. NEET qualified candidates from all states can register for the AIQ counselling on the website of MCC and choose SRM Medical College MBBS as their first preference to get a seat.

For MBBS at SRM Medical College, the total number of seats is 250. These seats are allocated on the basis of the merit list of AIQ counselling conducted by MCC. Only the candidates that have qualified NEET marks can register for AIQ counselling and its various rounds. The last round counselling cut-off for MBBS 2023 at SRM Medical College was 337751, for general category students.
