The University of Pittsburgh expects an IELTS score of 7 with a sub-score of 6 or higher. Along with IELTS, students must submit the Duolingo, TOEFL score to prove their English language proficiency. The minimum score required for the English tests is given below:

However, international students who believe that their GRE scores are good and can positively impact their resumes must mention it. There is no minimum score given on the official website, students must aim to score above 153 in Verbal, 152 in Quantitative, and 4.0 in Analytical Writing.

To gain Pittsburgh admission, international students must provide excellent academic performance including high school scores, standardized test scores, English language proficiency scores, and more. It may be difficult for international students to get admission to the University of Michigan because of its high acceptance rate. In 2023-24, over 87,000 applicants applied for the University of Michigan admission in the UG program. Out of these, only 7,466 were enrolled at the university. The UMich acceptance rate 2024 is around 18%, which makes admissions moderately competitive.
