Yes, it is considered to be hard to get into Five Branches University as this institute is known for having a detailed and selective admission process with multiple steps involved. In order to get admitted into the Five Branches University, you are expected to maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA)  of at least 3.5 which is relatively higher than other universities. In addition, you are expected to submit a truly exceptional statement of purpose, multiple letters of recommendation as well as work experience with you standardised test scores (ACT or SAT). The rate of acceptance is under 50% where the majority of applicants are selected based on their application.

If you choose to live on campus, you would have to opt for campus dining, used shared bathrooms, may or may not have a kitchen to cook and the fees would be paid along with tuition fees. If you live off campus, there is no mandatory rule to opt for campus food, you could have your own bathroom and bedroom, you would have a kitchen to yourself and the rent would not be in the bill; it would be paid monthly either by yourself/whoever chooses to pay for you. 

When you go for on campus housing, you can put your choices and you will be assigned a room but for apartments, you will have to hunt for houses yourself. Either ways, you will have to be quick with it if you want a certain dorm/apartment since they could potentially run out quickly.

Considering all these factors, opinions may vary but personally, I would choose to stay off campus since I get my own space and privacy.

Ultimately, whether you prefer the vibrant campus life or the independence of off-campus living depends on your personal preferences. There are many off-campus accommodation options available near the university that are cheaper than on-campus accommodations; ultimately, the transport system is well connected.

The university provides almost 7,000 rooms across its three student villages and within a 1-mile radius of campus. You’ll find single-occupancy rooms with options like en suite, shared bathrooms, studios, catered, or self-catering.

If you choose to stay off-campus, there are student housing apartments near the university. These are located in the student village, within walking distance of the campus.
