To get 700 or more in GMAT requires a lot of hard work and consistent effort. Identify your weak areas and focus on improving them. Preparing consistently can give you 700 or more in the GMAT. The following tips will help you understand how to go about your GMAT preparation:

• Starting point: Start by understanding the GMAT exam pattern and the GMAT syllabus.
• GMAT diagnostic test: Appear for a GMAT diagnostic test or a mock test before you begin your preparation. You will get to know where you currently stand.
• GMAT books 2023: Start with the official GMAT study material. After it, you can refer to other GMAT books and online resources.
• GMAT mock tests: Appear for GMAT mock tests every week. After taking the GMAT practice test, you need to analyse your performance and identify your weak areas.
• Notes: Prepare short notes and revise them over and over again.

Liverpool John Moores University offers both on and off-campus facilities. The on-campus accommodation includes student resident halls consisting of a study bedroom, shared kitchen, rooms with wi-fi, TV, and bathrooms. Students can select their hall preference. They can choose co-ed living options, single rooms, double rooms, suites, etc., as per their preference and requirements. International students are advised to apply for booking in advance with the reservation fee of GBP 200. The residence halls have several options like Vita, Albert Court, Byrom Point, The Arch, etc. all the rooms come with a free electricity facility with no additional charges.

The university also offers off-campus housing facilities and private accommodations that provide resources and listings of private-owner housing options near the university area. Students can check the University's website for numerous communal housing cooperatives, private accommodations, housing companies, and private landlords for housing accommodations.

Other than that, students can also wish to stay in rental rooms, units or apartments, rental houses, shared flats, hostels, hotels, etc.

Candidates need to understand that purchasing many GMAT books will not fetch them a higher GMAT score. In fact, if they start referring to multiple GMAT books and resources for a single topic, they will only get confused and end up leaving all the study material. The best starting point is always the official GMAT exam material. The official GMAT prep material should be at the base of your preparation. Make sure to cover the entire official study material at least twice. Once you are done with it, you can study other resources such as the Manhattan Guides, Veritas study material, GMAT club, Beat the GMAT, Thursdays with Ron, etc. Stick to selected GMAT books and resources, prepare notes, and appear for as many GMAT mock tests as possible.

International students may apply to university online. While UG students need to apply via UCAS, postgraduate aspirants may apply directly through university website.

Note: There are some exceptions to postgraduate application for following courses. Applicants must apply through external bodies:

• Legal Practice full-time course must be applied directly through Central Applications Board

• Legal Practice part-time course must be applied through standard online application form

• MA Social Work applications should be done via UCAS

• PGCE/PGD applications need to be submitted through UCAS Teacher Training website
