Takshashila Institute of Engineering and Technology does not offer a 100% scholarship, but it does offer scholarships on the basis of merit. The scholarships are given on the basis of marks received in the qualifying exam, the scholarship amount varying with increasing marks. For example, students securing above 90% in Class 12 can be offered a 50% scholarship on tuition fees

You are not being granted admission solely based on your board exam scores. It is based on your JEE Main rank and your qualifying exam merit. Then there is centrally organized counseling by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal. So the students have to sit for the JEE Main or the equivalent recognised entrance exam to get admission in the B.Tech course in this college.

You cannot be admitted based on your board exam scores. Admission is based on your JEE Main rank and your board performance. Then they have a centralized counseling procedure conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Bhopal. So the students have to appear for the JEE Main or any other entrance test accepted by the institute to seek admission into the B.Tech course in the institute.

The total tuition fee for a four-year BTech course at the Takshshila Institute of Engineering and Technology ranges between INR 1.2 Lakhs to INR 1.7 Lakhs depending on the specialisation of BTech in which the student is interested. The admission is mostly dependent on the rank of the candidate in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) organized by CBSE in New Delhi and 10+2 results. All seat allotments take place through a central counseling process organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Bhopal. The candidates have to undergo this counseling process in order to secure admission to the institute.

For B.E./B.Tech course, admission at Takshshila Institute of Engineering and Technology is granted on the basis of 10+2 score with Physics, Mathematics and any one optional subject followed by a valid score in JEE Main. Applications have to be made through DTE Bhopal counselling. Minimum 45% (40% in case of reserved category) is must. Lateral entry is also available.
