As per the PTET marking scheme 3 marks is granted for each correct answer, with no negative marking. The total marks for the exam is 600, derived from 200 questions. However, the Teaching Attitude & Aptitude section has a scaled marking system, ranging from 3 to 0 marks per question.

Candidates who fulfill the Jharkhand TET eligibility criteria can apply for the exam. The JTET eligiblity comprises educational qualification and age limit. Have a look at the basic JTET eligibility criteria in term of educational qualification and age limit for Paper 1 and Paper 2 below:

  • For Jharkhand TET Paper 1, candidates need to be Class 12 pass and two-year DEd/ DSE in Special Education in any category of disability
  • For Jharkhand TET Paper 2, candidates need to be Graduate or equivalent and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • The minimum JTET age limit is 21 years and there is no upper age limit.

Yes, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) cancelled the Jharkhand TET 2024 exam earlier due to amendments in the existing JTET Examination Rules 2019. The new JTET notification will soon be available. The JTET application form will be released along with the notification on the official website of the exam.
