Yes, you can get admission in TMU with a rank under 5000. Also, students must have to pass in Diploma in Engineering or BSc with Mathematics with at least 50 percent aggregate is required OR candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM/PCB and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
The admission to the B.Tech course is based on JEE Main or UPCET score. Candidates are also shortlisted based on their merit in the last qualifying examination.

One can directly also apply with their 12th result through their result ( merit based).
The various entrance exams which TMU accepts are JEE, UPCET, NEET-UG, MAT, CAT, CMAT, CUET-UG

For B.Tech, the entrance exams they accept are:-
JEE Main/ UPCET/ Merit-based
For MBBS:- NEET-UG
For MBA:- MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ merit-based + PI
For BCA:- Merit-based/ CUET-UG

The applications are still opened for admission for the 2023 year. You can apply directly through their website.
If you have appeared in a qualifying examination and the result is awaited, you can take provisional admission. However, in all circumstances, you shall have to submit the result in the university the latest by October 31, except where the Regulatory Council’s norms prescribed otherwise.
