Hyderabad is better option than Pune in following ways-
1. Cost of living is less as Pune is very costly.
2. Food is very good and is a necessary requirement.
3. Technically better than Pune and has more opportunities.
4. Being close to Bangalore and Chennai, it provides you better chance of a job.
5. More competition better results.

UG degree courses are of 3 years. You can opt for a Diploma course if you want a 2 year course specifically.
