Thapar University is one of the top universities for engineering courses. Civil Engineering is also good in this college with good placement records. Also, the faculty and study environment of this college is very good with good infrastructure.

Thapar University commands premium in market. So, if you are getting admission there, do not hesitate. Any branch will do. Civil or CSE both are good.

With no single thought, you should opt for Thapar University. It is better than Manipal in every manner. It is one of the oldest university with highly trained faculty and staff which is always there to help students. The infrastructure is amazing and beautiful. The hostel location, playground, etc. is extremely good. Placement cell is very good. Big companies like Maruti, TATA are a part of it. Thapar is one of the best known colleges in India. I feel you should have no hesitation in joining this college. Placements are also quite good.

Thapar is nationally recognized college and you need much more than what you mentioned to get admission in that college. With such good marks in 12th, what happened in JEE Mains?

Hi Ankush,
6.5 is a very poor score to apply to German universities. They require grades as high as 8 out of 10. You should look for average universities in less competitive countries like Poland, Norway, Ireland etc. If you can manage high funds you can check options in Australia and New Zealand.

NIT Jalandhar is a better option in comparison to Thapar university in term of Return On Investment for doing B.Tech CSE.

Thappar Institute is the best for BE. This is one the best universities in India and their study and placement records are very good. It is better than PEC. Also, the electrical engineering department is one of the best in India in Thapar University.

You need to score around 150 marks for outside Punjab. To get admission in Punjab, you need to get 110-120 marks.
