Candidates need to pass Class 10 with a minimum of 40% aggregate with Science and Mathematics as subjects and 40% in English to apply for General Purpose Rating at GEIMS Pune.
Aspirants with Diploma or a degree and have passed Class 10 with at least 40% aggregate with Science and Mathematics as subjects and 40% in English are also eligible to apply for GPR. Also, the maximum age to apply for the course is 25 years.

GEIMS Pune selects candidates for Diploma in Nautical Science based on an online test conducted by the institute. Aspirants applying for Diploma also need to pass IMU CET for admission. Selected candidates have to undergo a medical examination and also pass the personal interview round for final selection.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate and 50% marks in English to apply for Diploma in Nautical Science at GEIMS Pune. Aspirants who have passed BSc with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry ot Electronics with Physics as individual suject in one of the year with at least 55% aggregate can also apply.

GEIMS Pune considers academic scores of the candidates along with test score and PI round. Aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements to their course for admission. Below is course-wise eligibility for GEIMS Pune:
