Tolani Maritime Institute offers PG-level MSc courses. This course is offered in two specialisations namely, Marine Engineering and Technical Shipment. Tolani Maritime Institute offers admission on the basis of entrance. Admissions to all the UG and other courses are mainly based on two entrance exams i.e., IMU CET and TMISAT. Students who want to take admission to Tolani Maritime Institute need to qualify for entrance along with an interview round followed by a medical examination of the candidate as per the institute's selection process. To get admission to ETO course at TMI, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Those who pass Class 12 in PCM and English as subjects along with a four-year degree course in the respective subjects are eligible to apply for this course. Admission to this course is entrance-based. Tolani Maritime Institute conducts Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test (TMISAT) for admission to the ETO course. The final selection is done based on the performance of candidates in the PI round and the Medical Test conducted at the institute.

For Tolani Maritime Institute DNS admission, candidates must have passed Class 10 or 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with at least 50% marks in English. Admission to this course is done with a three-level selection process. The institute accepts a valid score of the respective entrance exam. For admission, candidates have to pass an Online Screening Test at the first level. The next step is to qualify for Sponsorship Test, which is conducted by the Registered Shipping Companies. To get admission to MSc course at TMI, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute. Aspirants must graduate with minimum 60% aggregate in BTech Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Nautical Technology/ Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering. Else, candidates having a three-year Diploma as Deck/ Engine Room Officer or BSc in Nautical Science with a minimum of 60% average with Class I Certificate of Competency as Master/ Chief Engineer may also apply for this course. To study at an international university, they must qualify the English language in IELTs with a score of 6.5 (no element below 5.5) or equivalent.

TMISAT 2023 councelling application last date is June 30 2023. You need visit the TMI website for applying the TMISAT entrance they will be application fee of 1200 /-. The test will be held online and they will send the admit card to your registered details. The councelling for the both B.Tech Marine engineering and B.Sc nautical Science will be held offline in a process according to merit list who have eligibility and qualified test of TMISAT, entrance test of TMI.
