Yes, UEM Kolkata is a recognised university. It is a private university located in Kolkata. It was established in 2015 and it is the third engineering institution founded by the University of Engineering and Management (UEM) and the Institute of Engineering and management (IEM) Group. This university is administrated by the Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) education group trust. Apart from this, UEM Kolkata is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

I don't think there is any reservation system in UEM Kolkata. The get the students by ranking or cut-off merit list in WBJEE entrance exam. The second condition if you want to get the seat in CSE branch you need to get 70% in your 12th class . Rather than info you get from their official website of UEM Kolkata
