The toughest to get admission is of course MD in pulmonary medicine and in this branch the closing ranks are about 2000 in previous two years while in the current year in the first round the admission closed at the ranking of 2485 but the second round of admissions is just commenting and it will definitely be diluted than this figure. But remember as this institute is famous for pulmonary diseases the closing ranks for this particular discipline are quite tough, while they are quite low (actually rank higher means low number and rank low means higher number!) for other branches of medicine.
