Candidates are chosen for postgraduate programs, except the MBA program, based on their qualifying exam scores as determined by counseling. The brochure of the university says that " the candidate who has passed PUC from PU board of Karnataka state and 10+2 examination of ICSE/CBSE board from any school of Karnataka state need not produce eligibility certificate. however, the candidates have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the university if he/she has passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from other states including ICSE/CBSE. The candidates who have passed from ITI from any of the institutes of Karnataka state also have to obtain eligibility certificate from the university to get admission".
