Mass communication is the study of media, journalism, public relations and often includes marketing communications as well. Visual communication is more design related. Students would need to learn how to use software such as Photoshop, various Adobe programs, etc. As a mass comm. student, I took visual communication as a module. Where we learnt basic Photoshop, photography, in-design and applying design to magazines, etc. We learn the basics. However, a Bachelors degree in visual communication would be more in-depth.

Hi Prakash!
It depends where your interest lies. Both the fields have an immense scope. It's upto you which field attracts you the most. If a career in Information and Technology appeals you more, and you think you have techie's brain, you should go for BCA. If you think you are creative and writing, editing, photography, film, animation, design and other aspects of the media attract you more, you should go for a career in visual communication.
