The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University has discontinued its Certificate Programme in Human Rights from April 2023. However, a candidate can check the other certificate courses offered by the university that can be done after completing BA from Maharashtra or any other state. No, BA in Social Science is not available at Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. YCMOU provides a BA Programme in the Arts stream. Admission to all the BA courses are based on the performance of candidates in the Class 12 exams. The specializations in which BA is offered are Mass Communication & Journalism, and others. Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University YCMOU offers a two-year M.A. Course to students across seven specialisations. For the available M.A. Specialisations, admission is based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level. Candidates willing to get admission must follow the online process as specified by the university. On successful registration, the students must collect the online receipt and submit the receipt to the study centre for confirmation of the admission.

Admission to the same is done on the basis of merit list, however, for some courses, the university conducts its own entrance exam. The university provides UG admissions to candidates on the basis of their qualifying marks at the intermediate level.
Admission to the MA ( education)program is offered on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.
Some of the top recruiters including Cyril Amarcand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners and Trilegal participate in JLS placements process.
Overall placement is around 50-60 percent.

YCMOU is a self-financed University functioning under the Ministry of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, and is recognised under Section 12 (B) from the UGC, New Delhi. The Governor of Maharashtra is the Chancellor of the University. YCMOU is one of the unic university. It has so many branches in Maharashtra state. This is an open university. This university is good for the people who are not able to study due to financial reason, working lifestyle or early dropouts.
