Both the National Institutes of Technology and private universities like Shiv Nadar University and Ashoka University can provide good international exposure to students. Although a few considerations can be taken into account.
1. Curriculum: Private universities like Shiv Nadar University and Ashoka University offer a liberal arts curriculum that provides students with a broad-based education in various fields such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences. NITs, on the other hand, offer Engineering courses that may not have as much diversity in terms of subjects.
2. Faculty: Private universities often have experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields and may have international exposure themselves. NITs also have experienced faculty members but may not have as many opportunities for international exposure.
3. Exchange programs: Both NITs and private universities offer exchange programs that allow students to study abroad for a semester or more. Therefore, both NITs and private universities like Shiv Nadar University and Ashoka University offer opportunities for international exposure. However, the type and extent of exposure may differ depending on the institution and the specific programs and collaborations offered.

While admission to Ashoka University is determined by a student's academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and other holistic considerations, financial aid is solely determined by the family's financial situation. In order to cover the estimated cost of the course, a candidate's ability to pay is evaluated based on the numerous financial resources accessible to their immediate family, including current income, savings, investments, and education loans. The College Board will annually, around the end of April, recognise Indian students who have received a SAT score of 1300 or higher as top performers. The top performers are eligible to receive a full tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their programme of study at Ashoka University. Also, they need to demonstrate significant financial need, which is defined as family income less than INR 8,00,000 per year, and receive a firm offer of admission from Ashoka University. Once the eligibility criteria is met, candidate can receive anywhere from a 25% waiver on tuition to a 100% waiver on the total fee.
