DYPBBI is a good option for B.Tech, the placements are not up tp the mark but as compared to other colleges the placements offered are quite good . Many students opt for higher education, and few students apply for jobs in this course. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Students got placed in Biotech and pharma companies like Lupin, Serum Institute of India, etc. If you are a materialistic person, do not opt for this sector because, in India, the biotech and pharma companies are 75 years behind compared to the USA. IT companies are more in demand because this course is for only 5-10 years compared to foreign countries, so pursuing B.Tech from DYPBBI is will be a good choice if someone wants to go for it.

Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI) is a good college but we can not say it as a best college because of few reasons:Placements: The placement record is not that good as expected after doing Masters from a good college. The average salary provided by the companies lie between 4-5 Lacs which is very less, so a person expects more after spending a lot on studies and after all getting that low package.Infrastructure: The infrastructure of thecollege is average. The campus is small. Students have to book a turf outside the college. The infrastructure of the hostel is comparatively better. The food served in the mess is not much good and specially the water facility is not good. One good thing about the college is:Faculty: All the staff members and teachers are extremely well qualified and specialised in their own arena. Teachers are very helpful and also helps in career counselling. The course curriculum is well designed, incorporating nearly all the spheres of biotechnology.
