HPU MAT is the entrance exam required for HPU Business School, Himachal Pradesh University MBA programme admissions.  HPU MAT is a computer-based test of two hours duration with 200 questions. It is conducted once in a year. The syllabus of the entrance exam is similar to national level management entrance test syllabuses, which include topics such as verbal ability, reading comprehension, quantitative ability, data adequacy, and data interpretation.

Yes, HPU offers three-year BA at the UG level through Department of Evening Studies. The BA programme is divided into six semesters. Besides, the university also offers three-year BA and BA (Hons) courses through more than 150 affiliated colleges. HPU also offers BA programme in distance education mode through International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning. Candidates should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam in four written subjects (including English) with at least 33% aggregate to apply for HPU BA programme.

Himachal Pradesh University Shimla conducts an entrance exam for B.Ed admission. The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test is 35% (53 out of 150). That means, aspirants must get at least 53 questions correct for getting admission to B.Ed programme. There is relaxation in the cutoff requirement for SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates. There is 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Handicapped candidates. Candidates need to get 30 questions correct out of 150.

Himachal Pradesh University reserves some seats for SC/ ST candidates of Himachal domicile.  Below is the age criteria for candidates applying for BAMS at HPU:He/ She must complete age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the first year BAMS course.The upper age limit is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of five years for candidates belonging to OBC-NCL/SC/ST category and Persons entitled for reservation under the Right of persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
