Out of these seats few are  reserved for NRI students and the remaining are filled of as per the guidelines issued by National medical commission. NTA announces cutoff percentile or ranks. Students who have scored this or better are only allowed to seek admission in any medical college in India.Then there is All India Quota under which students only from other states can apply for admission in a given state.
