Admission to BCA programs in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) is based on the eligibility criteria and selection process set by the institute. The eligibility criteria for BCA admission in SMIT are as follows:
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Mathematics as one of the subjects. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent examination. Considering your score of 73.6% in 12th, you seem to meet the eligibility criteria for BCA admission in SMIT. However, admission to the BCA programme in SMIT also depends on the number of applicants and the competition for available seats. SMIT conducts its own entrance exam, SMIT Offline Test (SOT), and also accepts scores of national level entrance exams such as JEE Main and SMIT Online Test (SOT). The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the entrance exam, followed by counseling and document verification. Therefore, you can apply for BCA admission in SMIT and appear for the entrance exam. Your admission chances will depend on your performance in the entrance exam and the availability of seats.

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University. Like most of the colleges, the fee refund policy of the institute is followed as per UGC guidelines. If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme in which he or she is enrolled, a refund of the paid fees will be made except for NEET-based admission. The student needs to submit a notice of withdrawal from admission to the university. If notice of withdrawal of admission is submitted on or before October 31, 2022, the student will get a full refund. After that, up until December 31, refunds will be made after the INR 1,000 deduction. However, after January next year and beyond, there will be no refund. It should be noted that refunds will be made only after the candidate has surrendered the ID card, original fee receipt, and the dues clearance Certificate. Also, application and entrance test fees will not be refunded.

Dear aspirant, Great interacting with you. In my opinion, you should go for SMIT as there is less number of students so you will get a greater opportunity to interact with the faculty and the system. Secondly, the placement scenario is almost the same Id say SMIT has a better placement record, and let's be honest in KIIT only a handful of students get good packages whilst spending about 20 Lacs. And KIIT has a good infrastructure but so does SMIT. If you have a load of money go for KIIT and get a 5 Lacs package or spend less and get more. And it completely depends on the students on how much can they and alas it depends on you. Hope it helps. If you found it useful then upvote or thumbs up my answer. Good luck.
