Yes, there is an entrance exam compulsory for B.A. LLB [Hons. ] at Uttaranchal University. The exam is called the Uttaranchal University Law Entrance Test (UULET). The UULET is a 2-hour exam that consists of multiple-choice questions on general knowledge, English, and legal aptitude. The minimum qualifying marks for the UULET are 50% for general category candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates. The UULET is conducted in the month of May every year. The application form for the UULET is available online on the Uttaranchal University website. The last date to apply for the UULET is April 30th every year. The UULET is a compulsory exam for admission to the B.A. LLB [Hons. ] programme at Uttaranchal University. However, there are a few other ways to get admission to the programme. These include:
* Lateral entry: Lateral entry is a process by which students who have already completed a Bachelor's degree in another discipline can gain admission to the B.A. LLB [Hons. ] programme. Lateral entry students are typically required to take a few additional courses to make up for the difference in their educational background. * Postgraduate Diploma in law: A postgraduate Diploma in law (PGDL) is a one-year programme that is designed for students who have already completed a Bachelor's degree in another discipline. Students can complete their coursework at their own pace and in their own time. At Uttaranchal University a large percentage of students from different parts of the country live in on-campus hostels with attached Mess. We have built separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There is provision for single room, double room, three B.Ed and four B.Ed room. Each room is furnished with B.Ed/beds, mattress, study table, chair and cupboard. There are spacious lawns within the hostel campus for the students to play different games or to take walk or recreate themselves. We ensure 247 electricity, internet connectivity through Wi-Fi, security and state-of-the-art plumbing. Great care is taken to maintain hygienic conditions and cleanliness. Hostels are spruced up with all the basic amenities and provide a pollution free environment to all incumbents. Hostel common rooms are fully equipped with HD TV network, indoor games, news papers and laundry staff. There is a separate group of hostel maintenance staff under the active supervision of the Chief Warden. They take care of cleanliness, tending to lawns and any malfunctioning of sanitary system or electrical gadgets. Every effort is made to provide home comforts.
