No, the hostel services of Amity school of engineering and Technology is not mandatory for all. You can opt for PGs as per your own convenience outside the college campus. For them a bus service can be made available.But for a better and ideal learning one should opt for hostel facilities as it provides the separate facilities for boys and girls, caring wardens and a tight security ensures a pleasant stay allowing you to focus on your academics. 

As per my knowdege there are no reservations made in Amity University. But a direct admission can be done for the students securing 80+ aggregate in class XII CBSE/state board.or else u have to take entrance exam conducted by Amity.But in some of the branches of Amity University, Reservations are made such as in New Delhi, Punjab, Jaipur etc. there is a 10% seat reserved for management seats.
