Minimum eligibility to apply to this course is that candidate should have a pass percentage of 40% in class 12. Eligible candidates need to appear for the Written Test conducted by the college. Unlike an exam, there are no set of questions that the panel interviewing asks. The questions depend on who you are, what you have studied, where you have worked or about the work you want to show or talk to them about. One question leads to another and the conversation can steer in any direction - so ideally there can be no preparation for this - you can only be positive and take the questions head on and answer with confidence and conviction.
It is also important for you to know why you want to study in FTII (a question they ask everyone). There is an orientation session with the interview which helps prospective students understand the space.

The eligibility criteria for admission to Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Acting and Feature Film Screenplay Writing in FTII is that the candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
For admission to audiography course, the candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with physics as a subject at Sr. Sec (10+2) level.

The FTII's entrance exam consists of 2 sections:
1. General awareness
2. Mental Ability
The general awareness sections consists questions related to Indian History, Indian Economy, Current affairs, famous personalities, general science, National/International Organisations etc
The mental ability test has comprehension and logical reasoning questions.

FTII JET 2018 is of three hours duration. Maximum marks that candidates can secure in JET question papers is 100. The test paper is divided into two parts such that candidates need to attempt MCQs worth 50 marks and then descriptive questions that amount for another 50 marks.
