Students work on live projects and assignments with companies, enabling them to relate classroom concepts to the real world. Additionally, simulations and role-plays are employed in the areas of strategy, marketing, finance, and operations management to develop skills and provide students with hands-on experience, critical thinking ability, and managerial confidence.

GIBS Business School has a favorable faculty–student ratio of about 15:1, which enables faculty to give individual attention to each student. The low ratio helps in effective mentoring since professors can track academic progress closely, clear doubts, guide on projects and internships, and provide personal career advice. This encourages open interaction due to which faculty become more approachable and supportive throughout the student's academic journey.

Based on the current fee structure and placement data, GIBS Business School renders a good return on investment for PGDM, MBA, and BBA students. The approximate total fee for the two-year PGDM/MBA course is ₹9.5 lakhs, while in recent placements, the average salary package has been around ₹7.8 LPA, with top packages going up to around ₹16 LPA. This suggests that many PGDM/MBA graduates can recover the cost of their education in 1–1.5 years, and hence the ROI is pretty good. For BBA students, the approximate total fee in three years amounts to ₹4.6 lakhs. Combining this with internships, skill development programs, and entry-level campus placements, the ROI becomes even more promising. Overall, considering the moderate tuition fees, strong support for internships, good placement averages, and industry-oriented training, GIBS is good value for money, though actual ROI depends on the individual's performance, specialization, and career growth.

With an optimal student-faculty ratio of approximately 15:1, students get individual attention and can easily interact with the faculty. GIBS has a healthy mentorship system where students are guided by faculty, placement experts, and corporate mentors for both academic and career-related issues. GIBS does not have an additional reservation policy for students applying through CAT or MAT. Admission is based entirely upon merit, and students can apply using their scores from the national level entrance exams: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT and GIBS 's own entrance exam. Each student will be assessed equally, through group discussions and personal interviews following their qualifying exams. The institution does not adhere to a set quota for any particular entrance exam; therefore, a student's overall performance and aptitude, as well as communication skills, will be taken into consideration. A wide range of applicants from different backgrounds will have equal opportunities for admission based on their ability and potential, rather than having admissions based upon specific exam reservations.

GIBS Business School maintains strong internship opportunities through summer internships, live projects, industry-based research assignments, and entrepreneurship internships offered via the IRE School. Those span domains such as marketing, finance, HR, analytics, operations, and so on, along with companies like Deloitte, EY, HDFC, Amazon, and ICICI. The placement cell fully coordinates the whole internship activity by collaborating with the recruiter to bring relevant roles, getting the students ready through resume building and interviews, shortlisting students as per their skill and interest, scheduling company selection processes, and providing continuous mentorship during the course of the internship while tracking performance through reports and feedback. The placement team ensures that the students meet academic requirements, are properly certified, and, whenever possible, convert the internships into full-time employment opportunities, thus making the entire process structured and career-oriented.
