There must be several reasons why B.Tech probably is the most popular course at the Government College of Engineering, Kannur (GCEK):It's an engineering college: GCEK is an engineering college. Their engineering courses - B.Tech - are naturally the star attraction here. Other courses might be there, but they specialize in engineering.Engineering is a diverse field which comes in specialised forms; thus, it keeps on producing a pool of qualified engineers for the job market. This would therefore translate into interest from students who would pursue a B.Tech program.Repute of GCEK: GCEK is a reputed college. It has repute in academics as well as placements. It ranks #78 in the NIRF ranking. This attracts the cream of students who want the quality of education in engineering and potential employability prospects with a career in engineering.Though in general, B.Tech probably leads, perhaps some specializations of B.Tech may have more popularity within GCEK. If one's interest is specific to one field of engineering, then he or she should go ahead and check whether there are any popular trends at GCEK in that area or not.
