To get into IIM-A, you must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Yes, anyone with a bachelors degree with adequate CAT percentile and good academic record can get a seat in IIMA. Having said that, BSc students actually get certain points for diversity. As you know majority of applicants for IIMs are engineers. Hence IIMs give extra points to students from non-engineering background so that there is diversity in the batch.

WIth these percentage it is very difficult to get into IIMs. All the IIMs assign some weight to your pest academic performance. However those aren't strict binding criteria. If you do really well in CAT then you can offset the effects of past academic performance.
