IMI has academic collaboration programs with many reputed foreign universities. Every year the institute invites applications from interested students and based on their academic records and all-round personality the Director and Faculty Council selects the candidates whose names are then forwarded to the concerned partner B-school. The tuition fee applicable is waived by the partner B-school but the students have to bear the extra expense incurred on travel/lodging etc on these programs. The exchange programs are for duration of 5 months starting from Jan-May (i.e. 3rd trimester of 1st year).The number of students opting for the program varies from year to year. The expenses incurred for travelling/lodging etc can vary from 1-1.5 lakhs.
