{Source: B.Pharma students & alumni}Is B.Pharma at Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGIPS) worth the investment? Here's a summary of what current students and alumni have to say:Pros:* Excellent teachers: Many students agree that the faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful, and well-qualified.* Relevant course curriculum: The course structure is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable.* Good placement record: Around 80% of students get placed, with average salaries ranging from INR17,000 to INR20,000 per month.* Job opportunities: Graduates can expect various roles such as pharmacist, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical QC, pharmaceutical QA, and drug inspector.* Supportive environment: Students appreciate the efforts made by the college to promote extracurricular activities and organize events.Cons:* Average infrastructure: The college buildings may not be modern or well-maintained, but it's understandable considering its age.* Limited facilities: While the college has libraries and laboratories, it lacks certain amenities like Wi-Fi, gyms, and canteens.* High competition: With around 80% of students getting placed, the competition can be intense.* Scholarship compulsory: Not all students might be eligible for scholarships, adding an additional burden. In conclusion, while IGIPS has its limitations, the positive factors outweigh the negative ones. The college's strong emphasis on education, supportive faculty, and decent placement records make it a viable option for those interested in pursuing a B.Pharma degree. However, students should be prepared to adapt to the college's infrastructure and competitive environment.
