Selections to the B.E. course is done on the basis of KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)/JEE/ComedK and interview conducted by the institute. Other entrance exams like JEE Main and COMED- K are also accepted. The COMEDK UGET 2024 round-wise cutoff rank for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 92,075 in round 1 and 68,529 in round 2. A score of 140 with a percentile of 70% or more is usually sufficient for admission, but you may also be admitted with a percentile of 60 if you participate in related counseling.

KNS Institute of Technology had conducted admissions for the BTech courses. To get into KNS Institute of Technology, 70% percentile is more than sufficient with a score of 140. However, students can also get admission at a percentile of 60 for the related counselling. Further, there is an COMEDK eligibility percentage criteria for students which they need adhere to. For more details, candidates can check the information given below. The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E./B.Tech is the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognised by State/Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject. The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one optional subject. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted. An attempt in the COMEDK UGET Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list. Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
