To be eligible for BA in economics, you need to have passed 10+2 with economics, commerce and accountancy as the core subjects from any recognized board.
You can apply online and final screening is based on your 10+2 marks.

Both are best in terms of education and placements. It is on the students to decide what they want to choose as both have a good education system and requires about 90% marks to get seats in Loyola and Xavier's (almost the same).

The India Today magazine in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 ranked Loyola No. 1 in India for science degrees
The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research has recognised Loyola College as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, the highest research honor for an Arts and Science College.
Not only the rankings, but also the infrastructure and the alumni of the institution make it a better institution to study.

As such, there is no percentage criteria to apply for M.Sc. in Chemistry. All you need to have is a B.Sc Chemistry with mathematics as an allied subject.
