A great choice for M.Sc. chemistry students.

Placements: Students with a CGPA above 5 have promising placement opportunities, and salary packages range from 4 LPA to 10 LPA, with top recruiters like Dr. Reddy's Pfizer, and BASF. Around 80% of students secure jobs, primarily in roles such as research associate, quality analyst, and process chemist. Many students also pursue Ph.D. programs or government research positions.

Infrastructure: The department has well-equipped laboratories with modern instruments for advanced research and practical learning. Classrooms have Wi-Fi and projectors for interactive sessions. Hostel maintains discipline and offers quality food with variety. Sports and extracurricular facilities are also well-managed.

Faculty: Professors are highly qualified, with strong research backgrounds, and provide excellent academic guidance. Though, semester exams can be rigorous, the pass rate remains around 90%, reflecting the quality of teaching and student support. If you study regularly and make notes in class, then it will be much easier for you to get a good score in the examinations.

Other: I chose M.Sc. chemistry because of my interest in research and industry applications. The college offers excellent opportunities, making it a great place for higher studies in chemistry.

It is a very good college with a very good environment.

Placements: Many famous companies are recruiting here as TCS, Apex, Infosys, etc. There are more than 2000 students in this course but one downside is there are no campus interviews. Around 60-65% of students got internships according to the statistics.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good and well-planned. Classrooms are clean. Canteens maintain hygiene. Hostels are not as good as expected. Hostels for boys and girls are separate. One can only get into the hostels only after one gets the admission in the college.

Faculty: Our teachers are cordial and qualified. They put the right in front of the students which helps a lot. Other than a few teachers others teach relevant and time bound concepts which helps in self-study. There are more than 350 members for only academic staff and around 180 administrative members.

Campus life here is the best.

Placements: I completed my studies from Loyola college, Chennai, in the department of Advance Zoology and Biotechnology. My class consists of almost 40 people from almost all the parts of India. We have to do a mandatory internship. The placements are the best in our college with many top companies like IBM and Accenture hiring.

Infrastructure: My college has all the facilities including Wi-Fi and smart classrooms. The faculty members have a friendly behaviour. The college has the best library which includes books of all kind. The hostel has many blocks everyone can be accommodated in it. They are always safe and secured. We have 3 main gates in the college. For women students, they have a special hostel building and a common room.

Faculty: The teachers were very helpful with studies, research and assignments. We have two internal exams in each semester and one main exam. We don't have any model exams. The semesters exams are a little tough, we have to cope up with them. If you study regularly and make notes in the class, then it will be much easier for you to get a good score in the examinations.

Other: We have the best culturals called ‘ovations’ organized which has many events. We make many connections and get recognition by attending the events. We have many college festivals which are fun filled. Of course the college culturals are one of the best things in the college life here.

Good campus and friendly facilities.

Placements: Actually my course is based on art which they have very less number of placements. Only 3 of my batch mates were selected out of 60 students. They have very average package like 2.5 to 3 LPA. This is purely for my course only other than that, other courses have many placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: My college is one of the top college in India which a very decent campus and very good maintenance. We have one of the biggest libraries in Chennai. The hostel and hostel food are very good. There is a playground. It is massive with good maintenance. Highly appreciable for the management.

Faculty: I can proudly say that I got the most friendly set of faculty members and most enjoyable course that anyone had. They are super friendly and you can approach them at anytime without any hesitation. Exams are done under very strict surveillance and the results also done in very ethical way.

Other: Loyola is a very friendly place. They frequently organise many events and programs and done many collaboration with many celebrities for promotions and extra.

For those who do not get placed, many opt for higher education. Some of the top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Accenture, and Cognizant.

Infrastructure: The college boasts modern infrastructure, including well-equipped computer labs, a common room, a spacious canteen, and an air-conditioned hall. Most classrooms are fitted with smart boards, and free Wi-Fi is available for educational purposes. Students also appreciate the quality of the hostel food.

Faculty: The faculty comprises qualified and knowledgeable professors who have extensive expertise in both academics and industry practices. They also prepare students for specific industry specializations. However, scoring well in semesters is challenging, as students are often required to study the entire syllabus thoroughly.

Short Summary of Loyola College.

Placements: From the 3rd semester onwards in M.A. Economics, students with all clear subjects sit for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, ICICI Bank, Avasoft, and TNB Bank recruit many students. The highest package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the placement rate is lower than expected. Many companies conduct interviews but do not announce the results.

Infrastructure: Every year, big events like Ovations are celebrated on the college campus, and the administration is always keen on achieving the holistic development of students. Sports Day and Arts Day are two major events. We have separate labs for every department. The hostel has limited seats; only 5 students from every department get admitted. Both girls' and boys' hostels promise average mess food, but the non-vegetarian food is very tasty.

Faculty: The faculty is generally good, with most of them being experienced. However, their teaching quality is inconsistent. Some teachers are in aided posts and may not be efficient in teaching. The course duration is 2 years, and the syllabus changes every 2 years. The exam papers are quite easy, with some questions repeating from the past 4 years, making it easier to pass all exams.

Other: The college fee is INR 11,500 for the first year and INR 12,500 for the second year. Apart from this, students benefit from scholarships.
