It's just a myth that MIT's fees is quite too much. But the truth is that it's the same for every private college. If one can't get into a government college then he/she can't whine about the fees. And as far as the question of college being worth, I believe it is. You have a lot of opportunities in this college. There are a lot of facilities in this college too. I would agree that the level of education is not as high as IITs or NITs but that is the same in all the colleges. In the end it all depends on you how you want to study.

Hey. You won't be getting ECE in the first round of counseling atleast. You might give your name for the waitlist. There is a possibility that You'll get it. if not then you can try for branch change after 1st year for which you'll have to do really well in your 1st year. You'll definitely get it in Manipal Jaipur Campus.

Well facilities for mechanical branch is quite good. There are well equipped labs having CNCs, lathes, milling machines, serological lab, heat engines lab, fluid mechanics lab, etc. Moreover there are a number of student projects which hemp you to gain practical knowledge. Also one can approach teachers for projects to gain extra knowledge.
As for aeronautical, what I have heard from people(since it's not my branch), the faculty is quite supportive. People are given projects frequently which help them gain practical knowledge. Also there's a team called aero MIT in our college which makes project and participate in international events and even get rewards for that. If someone's really into aeronautical, one should definitely be in that team. And as far as the labs are concerned, there is jet propulsion lab, and rest of the labs remain same with mechanical.

Your rank should be somewhere near 3k to 3.5k. Actually I can't say exactly. It depends on a number of factors. And for the branch, I believe you should get mechanical as per what happened when I gave my entrance test. But you won't get it in the first round of counseling. Over the rounds you should get it.

Hey, since I'm in Manipal and i have better information for this place, i would suggest that you choose Manipal. The lab facilities are amazing. They teach a lot of coding languages and also the computer science clubs are pretty active. We have regular hackathons for those who're interested too. People have been placed with a package of 4-5 lakhs as well as some have been placed at Oracle with a package of 18 lakhs. It depends of how well you know.
