MBBS doctors are posted as Junior Residents or Medical Officers in Sub Centres just after MBBS. or you can start private practice.

One small advice though, getting into a medical college is still easy but passing out is not.you need to be extremely hard working, focused and capable of studying and working for long hours. So assess yourself really objectively and take into consideration your family's opinions too before taking the plunge. Good luck!

Hi Logesh,
On the basis of 12th marksheet of NIOS you can apply for Medical colleges. Sr. Secondary certificate obtained form NIOS have the same recognition as certificates issued by other Boards like CBSE and ICSE in India. There are some universities who do not accept and there are some who accepts. However, if one has scored very good marks then he may be eligible for the higher studies in reputed Universities. One is eligible for the entrance tests conducted by the different Universities given the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria but the final selection entirely depends on the norms set by the Universities.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.
