The B.Tech admission requirements at MGM Institute of Biosciences and Technology (MGMIBT) select students who earned 10+2 graduation certification along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (PCM) or Biology (PCB) from a recognised educational institution. The admission process requires candidates to meet a minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories) Grades point average. The college accepts admission through JEE Main examination scores followed by assessments from local or school-based entrance tests. While mostly PCM qualified students apply, B.Tech programs exist that accept candidates from both PCB and PCM streams in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics domains. Engineering Diploma holders can gain access to the second year of their B.Tech programme if their field matches the available opening. Final selection requires document verification that happens alongside counseling procedures.
